Galp pays €0.23 to shareholders

Portuguese energy, oil and gas company Galp is to pay shareholders 26 cents per share from 20 September.

The company had announced that it would pay out the dividends after enjoying robust profits in the second quarter of 2022 of €265 million (+90% or €125 million) like for like on 2021.
“Galp Energia’s board of directors has decided to distribute an interim dividend relating to the profits of the fiscal year 2022, in the fixed amount of 0.26 euros gross per share. In accordance with Portuguese law, shareholders are hereby notified that the dividend will be paid as of September 20, 2022”, the company announced in a statement to the Portuguese Securities Market Commission (CMVM).
Individual investors will receive a net dividend after taxes (28%) of 18.72 cents per share. Institutions which pay 25% tax on capital gains will get 19.50 cents per share.
Galp, which is led by CEO Andy Brown, had already announced an interim dividend payout of 26 cent per share and expects a base dividend of 52 cents per share.
