Applications for €90M for startups open

Startups that want to compete for €90 million in digital vouchers to develop their ideas and grow their companies have until 25 November to submit their proposals to the public institution that helps entrepreneurs and SMEs – IAPMEI.

Notices about the €90 million intended to help around 3,000 startups over the next four years have already been published according to António Dias Martins who is the CEO of Startup Portugal.
The candidates for this programme will know the rules governing the competition. “The €90 million for startups will be awarded in two phases: one tranche of €45 million, and a second when this is spent of €45 million”, he explains.
António Costa Silva, Minister of the Economy and Sea had announced the opening of candidacies for the €90 million at Web Summit when he said it would take place “soon”.
The money has come from Portugal’s Recovery and Resilience Programme (RRP) and will be made available via Vouchers for Startups – New Green and Digital Products as announced at Web Summit.
