€400M tourism project for Sesimbra

The seaside town of Sesismbra is to receive a €400 million tourism mega-resort with a hotel, two tourists villages and sports and cultural facilities.

The project at Herdade do Cabeço da Pedra has been approved unanimously by the Sesimbra Municipal Council according to news source Setubalense.
Sesimbra is a small seaside town of around 6,000 inhabitants near Setúbal but the municipality has around 60,000 inhabitants. The tourism project is recognised as one of Potential National Interest and will create around 700 direct job posts, and will include a number of essential infrastructures to Sesimbra including roads such as Estrada dos Almocreves, between Maçã and Quinta do Conde, which is considered important for the territorial cohesion of the municipality.
