Greenvolt Next Portugal is to install a solar power production unit for self-consumption at the Teixeira Duarte Operational Hub in Montijo.

The facility will have 2,155 solar panel modules stated the company in a communiqué on Tuesday.
The solar panel modules will slash the energy bills of the construction company by 62% as well as avoiding 823 tonnes of CO2 emissions per annum by producing 1.716 MWh of clean energy.
The project does not have upfront investment since its operational model is by sharing the assets obtained from the generated energy.
“More companies are seeking to take this step in reducing their carbon footprint and Greenvolt Next Invest is essential for many to be able to do so without the huge initial financial outlay that is usually required”, says Carlos Coelho, Greenvolt’s executive director.
Since its creation, the portfolio of projects financed via Greenvolt Next Invest has topped €13.5 million.
