Microsoft and CTT announce logistics partnership

Microsoft and post office services company CTT have signed an innovative partnership in the logistics sector.

It will enable work developed by the two companies to be reinforced and contribute towards the digital transformation and growth of the logistics sector in Portugal.
The agreement signed between the two companies rests on four strategies based on Microsoft technology: Technology Modernisation for Business Transformation; Shared Co-creation and Innovation; Training and Upskilling Staff, and Sustainability and Social Impact.
Andrés Ortolá, Managing Director of Microsoft Portugal said that the strategic agreement was another step towards meeting the need for the urgent digital transformation of Portugal’s companies network.
“The partnership with CTT will enable a number of challenges within the logistics sector, which impact the lives of so many Portuguese citizens, to be addressed through training and technological capacity, speeding up the availability of solutions and services for its clients, collaborating also in the sustainable transformation of its business.”
João Bento, the CEO of CTT said: “The partnership signed with Microsoft paves the way for a range of new opportunities to improve digitalisation processes underway in the organisation and foster the speeding up of innovation in the sector.
“Through the synergies created with this agreement, we intend to enhance our operations and sustainability indices, investing in the transformation of digital services and in the improvement of the experience of our clients”.
