Garland expanded facilities by 61%

The Garland Group, one of the national leaders in the area of logistics, transport and navigation, increased its logistics facilities by 61% in 2022 to meet the boom in e-commerce and the increase in demand for logistics outsourcing services which the recent crises had increased.

Garland Logistics – the group’s company which focuses on this area, expanded its facilities from 91,000m2 to 148,000m2 spread out at logistics centres in Cascais (7,000m2), Aveiro (35,500m2), Vila Nova de Gaia (85,000m2)
In 2022 the company enjoyed significant business growth of around 40% thanks to its successful expansion of its warehousing capacity and corresponding ability to attract more clients.
Last year was undoubtedly an important year for Garland in the national logistics market in which it has some of the largest logistics facilities according to Ricardo Sousa Costa, board member at Grupo Garland and CEO of Garland Logistics.
Last year the company a large logistics centre at Valadares, the company’s third in Vila Nova de Gaia covering a construction area of 38,000m2 and the company’s largest, newest and most modern logistics facility in Portugal.
