Tangível is a pioneering company in Portugal in the sphere of Human-Centred Design (HCD). It is part of the Tangível Group and together with the Tangível Academy, trains professionals in the HCD area and together with Hyphen specialises in digital experience talent from UX Design to front-end development.
“We work with organisations to simplify their products and services. We create and improve products and services taking the experience of their users into account. This contributes to attracting and retaining clients and increases sales as a consequence”, says co-CEO, José Campos.
“The fact that Tangível is part of UXalliance, an international network of benchmark UX companies in their countries, helps us to be involved in multinational projects and have partners in over 20 countries”, adds co-CEO André Carvalho.
Some of its main clients include AMA – Agência para a Modernização Administrativa (Agency for Administrative Modernisation), Cofidis (a credit company), Galp (an energy company), Millennium BCP (a bank), Santander (a bank), Segurança Social (Portugal’s social security agency), SIBS (an electronic and technology-driven payments processing company) and Unitel (Telecoms) (Angola).
UX Design (and designers) is focused on all aspects of a product’s development, including design, usability, function, and even branding and marketing. Its work touches the entire end-to-end journey of a user’s interaction with a product, and includes identifying new opportunities for the product and business.
Human-centred design is a problem-solving technique that puts real people at the centre of the development process, enabling products and services to be created that resonate and are tailored to a client/stakeholder/audience’s needs.
The goal is to keep users’ wants, pain points, and preferences front of mind during every phase of the process. In turn, helping to build more intuitive, accessible products that are likely to turn a higher profit because customers have already vetted the solution and feel more invested in using it.
