Smart builds two students residences

Smart Studios, a company that specialises in all-inclusive co-living accommodation for students, has mandated the Portuguese construction company Engexpor to start work on two new students residences in Lisbon.

Both of the residences are located in the Alta de Lisboa district (Lumiar) and will provide a total of 635 rooms.
Engexpor will manage the project and sub-contract the building and other contractors involved. The buildings that will house the new Smart Studio residences will be built on plots 2 and 12 of the latest plots being developed for real estate project at Alta de Lisboa (Malha 34), near Quinta das Conchas a close to Cidade Universitária.
In addition to these two students residences, Engexpor also managed the building projects for the Smart Studios – Coliving Smart Studios Asprela in Porto which was operational to receive students in September, 2022.
Moreover, Engexpor which specialises in supervising and managing construction projects, is also involved in two other students residences in Lisbon (Areeiro and Ajuda) on which work has yet to begin, but will provide 1,500 accommodation units.
