SIL Awards winners announced

The winners of the SIL Real Estate Awards 2023 have been announce with the Unique Belém development from Libertas being in the spotlight for having scooped the ‘Best Real Estate Development – New Housing Construction’.

The property, which has already been completed, is located between the Ajuda National Palace and the President’s official residence in Belém, Lisbon. The private condominium was designed by Frederico Valsassina with the apartments practically all sold.
“There were more than 50 candidates in the competition, from companies and entities with solutions, to developments in Portugal whose construction has been completed or nearly so”, states the SIL organisation in a communiqué.
SIL is an annual property fair which runs in Lisbon in May and highlights the the most important developments currently on the market in various categories or projects planned or currently under construction.
The awards presentation ceremony took place on May 4 on the same day that the fair opened. The fair closed its doors on Sunday (May 7),
The AIP Foundation and the SIL Strategic Council awarded the Personality of the Year Award to Beatriz Rubio, CEO of Remax Portugal who received it because of her stalwart work in the service of the Portuguese real estate industry and for being an active and constant voice in the debate on the economy and the real estate market.

The award winners were:

Best Launch Campaign – Mirear from Solyd Properties;
Innovation Award – ERA in the Estate Agency category and White Balance in the Real Estate category;
Social Responsibility – Camp-in from the Just a Change Association which represented the best real estate project in the service of the community;
Sustainable and Energy Efficient Construction – Viceroy Residences (Ombria Resort);
Best New Build Real Estate Development for Services and Offices – Icon Offices (Cilviria);
Best Real Estate Development for New Build Housing – Unique Belém (Grupo Libertas);
Best Real Estate Development for New Build Tourism – Marinha Prime (Habitat Invest + Noronha Sanches – Dialog Defender);
Tourism Rehabilitation – NN Arquitectura Studio;
Best Real Estate Development for New Build Public Spaces – Terminal Campanhã (Porto City Council);
Housing Rehabilitation – Rodrigo da Fonseca Prime Residences (Mexto);
Public Spaces Rehabilitation – Convento Desgravo (Lisbon City Council);
Rehabilitation of Comercial Services and Offices – Bolhão Market (Porto City Council);
Innovation in Real Estate Development – Photobooking by White Balance (White Balance);
Innovation in Estate Agency – ERA;
Best Launch Campaign – Mirear (Solyd);
Social Responsibility Project – Camp In-Just a Change;
Honorary Mention – Savoy Residence Insular.
