The car manufacturer MG is to strengthen its commitments in the Portuguese market as part of its expansion plan on five continents.

With a modern and European spirit, MG aims to shakeup the Portuguese car market making electric cars accessible to all.
The company says it is in Portugal with a clear objective: to offer a complete range of vehicles with electric cars being the main feature. This objective can only be achieved with a European design, a family SUV hatchback and a compact electric hatchback.
MG has set a target to sell 1,250 vehicles at 18 car showrooms by the end of 2023. The available range in Portugal is currently the MG ZS SUV 100% Intelligent from €22.290 RRP; MG ZS EV SUV 100% electric from €35.990 RRP; MG4 Hatchback Agile Electric from €32.990 RRP; MG5 Electric, the first electric station waggon in the world from €37.790 RRP; MG MARVEL R Electric from €45.690 RRP and the MG EHS Plug-in Hybrid from €39.190 RRP.
Pedro García, Vice-President of MG for Portugal and Spain says that “MG’s move into Portugal has been going very well, with prospect for growth and buoyant sales, with our guarantee to deliver vehicles immediately without any kind of waiting list or pre-purchase formula.
MG says it is in Portugal with a firm commitment to promote electrical mobility. “Portugal still has some way to go in terms of electric mobility, but the trend is clearly one of growth looking at the number of electric vehicles sold in recent months”.
“Portugal has enormous potential, and in the coming months and years we will see huge growth. We believe that MG will enjoy a similar performance to the Spanish market where we expect to end 2023 with over 1,250 vehicles sold”, says Pedro Gracía.
