The Sino-Portuguese multinational construction giant, Mota-Engil is on track for a €5Bn turnover in 2023.

In an interview with Jornal Económico, the CEO of Mota-Engil, Carlos Mota Santos, who presented the company’s results to September, said the company posted a record business turnover for the first nine months of the year.
“We have never before achieved such a high turnover in one year, and we managed to do it in the first nine months of the year, in line with our historic margins in operational terms. We continue to have one of the best EBITDAs in industry”, he told the business daily.
The company is planning to achieve a net margin of 3% by 2026. The company has more than doubled its business in Latin America, which grew 129% to September, in like-for-like terms, to €1,975 million.
Since June, the construction and engineering giant with a footprint in three continents, added a further €1Bn to its portfolio of orders to a total of €13.6Bn in orders, which partly explains the three-quarterly year performance.
Mota-Engil also announced an accumulated growth of 66% in business turnover reaching €4.015Bn, a result that will enable the group to consolidate its capacity to achieve its end of year target of €5Bn for the first time in its history; a target announced by the company in August.
