The Spanish company Monday, which specialises in co-work spaces, is to open an office in the centre of Lisbon in its first foray into the Portuguese market.

The 4,500m2 co-work space in Marquês de Pombal is located within an eleven-storey building owned by insurer Zurich and can host 600 people. It is expected to open in the third quarter of the year.
The office, the largest in the company’s network, will be redesigned by architectural design studio Vivim Studio with the work carried out by Lock.
It will offer flex-workers meeting rooms, a terrace, cafeteria, telephone booths, a space for table games, gym, and parking.
Space is available to rent on both hot desk and fixed desk bases, and private office. The user can also hire out space with daily, weekly or monthly vouchers.
The new Lisbon co-work space is the company’s 11th. It has five in Barcelona, three in Madrid, one in Malaga and another in Andorra.
Monday CEO Xavi Bassons said in a communiqué: “We’ve chosen Lisbon because of its excellent business ecosystem to introduce our flexible office concept to Portugal, and we’re sure that Lisbon citizens will appreciate the added value that Monday will bring to the sector.”
