Arco Retail Park opens in Santo Tirso

The Arco Retail Park was officially opened today in Santo Tirso on a redeveloped site once occupied by the old Arco Textiles Factory.

Built by the design and build developer Garcia Garcia, the retail park already has six brands signed up: Sport Zone, Homa, Rádio Popular, Tienda Animal, Action and KiK. The park has 6,600 m2 of retail area and parking for 150 vehicles.

The Arco Retail Park is located right in the town centre, close to the law courts and a lorry park within a wider area with significant development including shops, services and a housing project planned for the end of 2024.

The history of Arco Têxtil and Garcia Garcia have been intertwined for decades. In 2022 the local company with a national profile set up in the former but now refurbished offices of the old textile factory built by Garcia and Garcia decades ago. The construction company originally hailed from Vila das Aves near Santo Tirso.
