Interest on Portuguese sovereigns falls on all maturities
Interest rates on Portuguese sovereign bonds with two, five and 10-year maturities fell on Monday to a minimum since December 2022, and in line with bonds from Spain, Ireland, and Italy.
At 8:35 am in Lisbon, the 10-year interest rate was down to 2.741%, against 2.769% on Friday. The five-year interest rate fell to 2.240%, against 2.273% in the previous session, and the two-year interest rate fell to 2.246%, a low since December 15, 2022, against 2.279%.
Greece’s interest rates rose on two-year bonds and fell on five and ten-year bonds, while the interest rate on Germany’s ten-year bond, considered the safest in Europe, fell to 2.167%, against 2.206% in the previous session according to Lusa.
