Sonae leads US$12 million investment round in Tamnoon
Bright Pixel, the venture capital investment arm of Sonae, has led a US$12 million (€10.8 Million Series A investment in the Israeli startup Tamnoon.
Tamnoon (Octopus in English) is a cybersecurity company that intelligently streamlines cloud security using cloud experts and AI-powered technology, freeing up company teams to focus on their core business activities.
In a statement, Bright Pixel said that Tamnoon was “the creator of the first and only hybrid cloud security remediation service managed by Artificial Intelligence (AI) and human intelligence”.
The cybersecurity startup, which “serves multiple organisations in North America” in the insurance, entertainment, healthcare, and retail industries, “combines AI with human intelligence to provide an automated, expert-driven, cloud-scale remediation service that does not disrupt business operations,” Bright Pixel said.
Also, according to Sonae’s technology investment arm, Tamnoon “reduces the attack surface in the cloud and improves its security, optimising and strengthening its prioritisation, screening, remediation and prevention processes, contributing to a more robust and mature continuous threat exposure management (CTEM) program.”
Bright Pixel has about 50 direct investments, encompassing investments in companies on a global scale, from the early stages to growth, and in strategic business areas such as cybersecurity, infrastructure software, retail technology, business applications and emerging technologies.
