Unicorn Factory Lisboa, together with Lisbon City Council, launched its ‘Greenhub’ at Lisbon’s Entrecampos district this week – a new innovation hub in the city of Lisbon.

Dedicated to sustainable entrepreneurship in sectors such as mobility and energy, among others, its strategic partners are Critical Software, Grupo Brisa and Mota Engil Renewing.

The Greenhub also has a partnership with Cleantech for Iberia, an Iberian organization that promotes innovation in sustainability, supported by Breakthrough Energy founded by Bill Gates.

The new space also includes a partnership with the Clean Energy Accelerator from Amazon Web Services, which will have its first physical base to welcome entrepreneurs involved in the accelerator, and who will be able to develop and test their solutions from Lisbon.

Located in a space of about 600 square meters in the Critical Software building in Lisbon, the hub’s main objectives are to develop the innovation ecosystem along the vertical of sustainability and mobility, to attract academic knowledge, talent and investment, as well as to host companies that create solutions in various areas with the support of green technologies. This is the third hub created by Unicorn Factory Lisboa, an initiative of the Lisbon City Council, after the launch of Gaminghub and Web3hub which already has 98 companies and 438 people.

With the support of the partners and inaugurated by the Mayor of Lisbon, Eng. Carlos Moedas, the Greenhub already has 16 innovative companies and 110 employees since its inception.

The hub has a co-working space for 12 people, nine private rooms (55% of them already occupied) and a lounge for events, networking sessions and workshops. Startups can also join Greenhub remotely, accessing experts and mentors, and all the relevant community activities, as well as exclusive partnership opportunities in the main green technology sectors.
