Novartis Portugal appoints new country president

Mourad Aboubakr is the new president of pharmaceutical company Novartis Portugal.

Already with the company for 15 years, he has a wide experience in the Pharma sector having taken on various posts in commercial positions both at a European and international level where he has led teams of a wide cultural diversity.

A German-Moroccan citizen, but having a truly global profile, he has lived in nine countries. Mourad Aboubakr is leaving Novartis Spain where he led the Cardiovascular and Metabolic Area, to take up the position of Novartis Portugal which employs 220.

In his academic career, Mourad Aboubakr holds an MBA from INSEAD and is a graduate of the Global Healthcare Leaders Program at Harvard Medical School. His priority is to drive people’s potential and believes in the power of genuine collaboration and teamwork.
