Leroy Merlin to invest €202 million over next three years
As part of the state visit of French President Emmanuel Macron, Leroy Merlin, a company belonging to the French group ADEO specialised in the sale of products and services in the areas of DIY, Construction, Decoration and Garden, has announced the investment of €220 million over the next three years in Portugal.
The amount will be divided between €105 million in Capex (infrastructure and physical assets) and €115 million on technology, reaffirming the brand’s commitment with an increasingly more sustainable and innovative company.
This announcement came at the time coinciding with the State visit of the President of France, Emanuel Macron to Portugal, reinforcing not only the importance of cooperation between the two countries, but also Leroy Merlin’s confidence in the potential of the Portuguese market.
France is the first foreign employer and the second foreign investor in Portugal, according to data from the French Embassy in Portugal, and Leroy Merlin is part of the more than 1,200 French companies in the country.
