Limehome to invest in Lisbon tourism lets
Limehome is to beef up its presence in Lisbon with the conversion of an old factory in Alcântara into a tourist apartment development slated to open in 2028.
The developer has already opened several tourist developments in Porto, Évora and Campo Pequeno in Lisbon in 2024.
Now the company is preparing to expand in Portugal, focusing on Lisbon with this latest development which will transform an early 20th century factory that is in ruins (apart from the façade) according to Publituris.
The building is on Rua Maria Luísa Holstein, close to LX Factory, It will feature 57 fully-equipped apartments in addition to an area for restaurants. According to Limehome the investment is strategic and anticipates the growth and increase in value of properties in the area over the next few years.
Limehome is one of Europe’s main suppliers of boutique apartments with a business model based on the “total digitalisation of processes for client flexibility and ease of use.
The new holiday apartments will be opened in 2028 and 2029. The already completed Lisbon development in Campo Pequeno has 38 one-bedroom studios and apartments.
“These new properties (in Alcântara) will certainly be as successful as our current portfolio in Lisbon, not just because of their prime location but also because of the unique characteristics of the building itself that promise to offer an exceptional experience for its guests”, said Limehome Director of Growth, Daniel Hermann.
