Cushman & Wakefield’s Eric van Leuven appointed new president of Avenida da Liberdade Association

The Executive Partner of Cushman & Wakefield Portugal, Eric van Leuven, has been appointed the new president of the Avenida da Liberdade Association.

With a long experience of over three decades leading and developing the real estate sector in Portugal, Leuven takes on the fresh challenge with a commitment to continue raising the bar for Lisbon’s most fashionable street and as a European benchmark for shopping, culture and leisure.

The Avenida Association has a pivotal role in driving one of the main thoroughfares in Lisbon which is lined by exclusive luxury fashion brands from famous household names.

These and others from the sectors of hospitality, catering, services, and leisure comprise around 150 association members.

Under the new presidency, the association will continue to strengthen the collective vision of continuing to renovate the area, including the public spaces,, attracting investment, and projecting the avenue’s international image.

Eric van Leuven says that Cushman & Wakefield, which has been based on the avenue since 1991, will, through the association and stakeholders, continue to work hand-in-hand with clients, partners and institutions to contribute towards the avenue’s sustainable growth while increasing the value of this unique street in Lisbon.”
