João Sousa through to second round

Portugal’s best tennis player goes through to the second round of the Estoril Open to face Pedro Sousa. It was the first time that the World’s Nº67 won a game at the Estoril Open by beating Russian Medvedev 7-6 and 7-5.

In the previous three years that Sousa participated in the event he was eliminated in the first round.

He will now play Pedro Sousa who beat ex-Top 10 player Gilles Simon on Monday and went through to the second round.
