The developer Regal is restoring the downtown Lisbon buildings that comprise the Fabrik development.

The project, developed by Regal Concord International, the Portuguese subsidiary of Regal Hotels International Holdings Ltd., which is based in Hong Kong, entails the modern rehabilitation of an 18th century “Pombaline” style textile house, restoring key features such as its façade, stone arches and ornate ceilings. The architect is João Tiago Aguiar Architectos.

The Fabrik project will create 10 two-bedroom apartments, including two duplexes with generous areas of 116 m2 to 185 m2, being much larger than the typical Baixa apartments which are traditionally small.

The duplexes offer beautiful high ceilings and views of the Cristo Rei monument, the River Tagus and the rooftops of the surrounding buildings.

All the apartments have ensuite bedrooms, super spacious living spaces, polished wooden floors, exquisite finishings and quality equipment.

Inside the structure of the building will be new, modern interiors and common areas, a state-of-the-art elevator, set within a reinforced, acoustically treated structure.

José Gorião, Partner and Manager Office of Sotheby’s International Realty Portugal which is co-marketing the development, says, “Fabrik is a project that will stand out in the rehabilitation of downtown “Pombaline” Lisbon because of the contrast between classic style and a touch of modernity.”

Nuno Durão, Managing Partner of Fine & Country Portugal which will also be commercialising the properties, says, “It is rare to find a project that combines all the positives within one development. The Fabrik has the best location, in the heart of the Lisbon Baixa, a project with large luxury apartments, high ceilings and close to iconic landmarks such as the Elevator and St. George’s Castle.”
