Corkbrick to raise €250,000 from Seedrs

Corkbrick Europe, a Portuguese startup that has developed an innovative modular construction system using blocks of cork, has launched an equity crowdfunding share sale operation for a minimum of €250,000.

The company is applying for the second time to Seedrs, the largest European platform for equity crowdfunding with the aim of raising finance from investors worldwide.
In the campaign which started this week and will run for 60 days, Corkbrick Europe hoped to attract at least €250,000 in return for 5% of its capital, giving the company a value of €4.75Bn.
The campaign is active at https://www.seedrs.com/corkbrick. The operation aims to strengthen and increase the company’s productive capacity in what is its second application to Seedrs. In the first campaign completed successfully in 2017, Corkbrick managed to net €150,000 in a crowdfunding campaign that attracted 240 investors in 29 countries.
Corkbrick Europe is a Portuguese company that developed an innovative system of cork bricks which rather like Lego blocks, enables the construction of a house or office as well as furniture without using construction equipment.
The startup has a team of architects, engineers, designers, and creative talent from multinationals like Google, Lego, Cisco and academic institutions such as the University of London.
“We’re very close to achieving the 500 investors and fans and therefore create the first company owned by fans in order to build dynamic and sustainable mobile structures and we’re very pleased to have attracted the interest of so many investors and fans that will enable us to dream big and take Corkbridge to all houses worldwide,” says CEO Miguel Reynolds Brandão.
