Exponor unveils new private brand

Exponor, the trade fair organisation for Porto and the north of Portugal has unveiled its latest brand – Exponor Exhibitions.

The innovative concept from the 160-year-old trade fair organisation has been created to boost the department of the organisation that puts on large events and fairs which will now become an independent and autonomous business section for organising exhibitions in its own right.
Exponor Exhibitions will have its own dedicated multidisciplinary team of experienced professionals offering its services to the market for organising private company events, providing business platforms, fairs for third parties in what will be a customised, turnkey private service that can be hosted anywhere in Portugal.
The new service will be headed by Diogo Barbosa, Managing Director of Exponor who took the helm around 18 months ago.
“The global market has thrown up new challenges to the traditional format of trade fairs and events on a large scale.
“Our solution is to create a more flexible and versatile business model that will enable us to create concepts that meet the demands of the latest market trends as well as a separation that had already existed between Exponor Exhibitions which specialises in organising large fairs and events and Exponor which manages the trade fair and exhibitions park, but was not obvious to the market,” he said.
The process is already underway with the creation of new concepts and a new approach to preexisting formats.
“This year were launching four new events: Health for Beauty simultaneously with Expocosmetica; 360 Tech Industry, a new format aimed at 4.0 industry and IDF by Interdecoration, dedicated to interior design and decoration,” added Barbosa.
Furthermore, Exponor is revamping the format of existing fairs, bringing them in line with international exhibition models with greater visitor interaction.
This is being done within Exponor as the only site capable of hosting events of this size in the north of Portugal.
