The Chinese capital investment group EMGI is to develop a new residential building in the heart of Lisbon on Avenida da República.
República 55 is being developed and refurbished by the same capital investment group which also redeveloped the projects República 37, Palmela 21, Square 53 and Rodrigo da Fonseca 40 located in prime Lisbon city-centre areas between Avenida da Liberdade and Avenida da República.
The property consultants JLL has represented the marketing and sale of all these Chinese-owned residential projects.
The República 53 project involves restoring and modernising a class late 19th century building on the corner between Avenida da República and Avenida Elias Garcia, restoring the exterior façade and maintaining its original Belle Époque style while applying the latest contemporary standards of fixtures and fittings to the interiors.
The refurbishment will create 18 apartments from Studio to 4-bed and will include a penthouse with a private pool while the hall will reflect a classic style. The apartments will boast areas of between 33 m2 and 198 m2. The project will also have parking for the apartment holders.
“República 55 will be one of the most beautiful restored buildings in Lisbon with privileged location in the centre of Lisbon surrounded by various services, restaurants, cycle paths and green spaces,” says Patrícia Barão, Head of Residential at JLL.
