5th Apps for Good competition winners

The Gulbenkian Foundation was the setting for the grand final of the 5th edition of Apps for Good at which were attributed 10 awards to students and pupils who developed apps for good.

The winning application was ‘Colour You’ created by young people of the military academy Instituto of Pupilos do Exército who intend to integrate and facilitate the daily lives of colourblind people.
In second and third place in the Secondary Education category were ‘Coursly’ from the Padrão da Légua schools Group with an app that aims to help secondary children choose the most suitable further education courses, and ‘Polumap’ from the Serafim Leite Secondary School which identifies places with high levels of pollution.
The goal of the Apps for Good programme is to develop applications for smartphones and tablets that can contribute towards solving problems related to the sustainability of the world in which we live.
