The real estate developer Mondego Capital Partners has announced a €45 million investment in various luxury housing projects in the centre of Lisbon.

The latest projects are part of a €67 million investment the fund made all over Portugal in 2020.
The €45 million was applied to purchasing various real estate projects in the Chiado, Baixa and Marquês de Pombal areas; buildings that will be turned into luxury residential projects.
In July, for example, the company acquired two buildings in the Chiado area for €20 million.
Added to smaller projects in Lisbon and Porto, “Investments in acquisitions in 2020 totalled €67 million,” says Gonçalo Ahrens Teixeira, Partner at Mondego Capital Partners in an interview with newspaper Negócios.
Mondego Capital Partners goal was to have completed an investment of around €100 million in premium residential projects within two years, but the pandemic may represent a delay in meeting this target. Gonçalo Ahrens Teixeira is certain that the whole amount will have been invested by the close of 2021.
Mondego Capital Partners is, according to its Linked-In page, a real estate private investment and development platform focused on opportunistic and value-added investments in Portugal. It was founded in 2019, is based in Porto and has anywhere between three and 10 employees.
