DefinedCrowd among the best startups to work for in US
A startup founded by Portuguese entrepreneur Daniela Braga has made it to Forbes magazine’s top startup companies in which to work in the US.
DefinedCrowd, based in Seattle, is one of the 500 best startups to work for in the US, coming in 69th place in the list of the best employers in the US and highlighted in the technology sector.
“The 500 companies that are on the list of ‘America’s Best Startup Employers’ had to change their model to attract and engage staff through virtual games, lessons and support systems in a year like no other,” says the International magazine.
In 2020, DefinedCrowd raised a US$50.5 million Series B round of funding, the largest ever Series B round to be raised by a female-founded AI company in the US.
In 2019, it was officially named one of CB Insights ’100 most promising AI startups’, the first half of 2019 saw the company double its team to over 100 employees worldwide, and obtained the coveted ISO 27001 certification, and announce the launch of its new NEEVO app. That year the company ended up by making the Forbes AI 50 Most Promising Artificial Intelligence Companies.
The technology company was, just less than a year ago, distinguished by the Global Startup Competition organised by the United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO).
The competition’s objective was to distinguish startups with the most disruptive projects that contributed towards speeding up of achieving the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
DefinedCrowd was singled out for its contribution to objective 9, related to advances in industry, innovation and infrastructures.
