Portuguese startup Kitch, which provides technology to control online sales and deliveries, is to expand its operations to Spain and beef up its team in Portugal.

The startup will initially base its operations in Madrid. The company will provide restaurants the technology that will enable these businesses to have greater autonomy and online sales control.
For its International expansion, the company has announced the hiring of five people for the Spanish market “to the end of July,” including a general manager and staff who have profiles linked to operation launches.
In a communiqué sent to editors, Kitch also mentions that it has the intention to expand to other cities in the Spanish market over the coming months.
“Our operations in Spain will begin with Madrid, but the truth is that the Spanish market is incredibly interesting. There are many cities in Spain where demand for delivery and takeaway using digital apps and platforms is high, and restaurants are seeking to better control their online sales too, says Rui Bento, co-founder and CEO of Kitch.
In addition to penetrating the Spanish market, Kitch also intends to strengthen its team in Portugal. It currently employs 35 but has 18 vacancies available. Kitch’s target is to employ around 70 staff between the two countries by the end of this year.
In May, Kitch netted a €3.25 million Seed investment round led by Atlantic Food Labs and Market One Capital, Seedcamp and Mustard Seed Maze (MSM).
