Everis NTT Data Portugal is to hire 500 staff next year to join the 1,400 already working at the high tech company.

NTT DATA – a part of NTT Group – is a global innovator of IT and business services headquartered in Tokyo. It help clients in 50 countries transform through consulting, industry solutions, business process services, IT modernisation and managed services. NTT DATA enables clients, as well as society, to transition into the digital future.
It will mostly be hiring talent in its technology areas, but the company also considers people in other knowledge domains.
“We plan in 2022 alone to take on 500 staff both at our hubs and central structure. This means investment in the creation of these delocalised structures”, says Tiago Barroso, managing director of Everis Data Portugal in an interview with Diário de Notícias.
The tech company plans to also invest in 15 specialised knowledge hubs. “We have a specialised centre, for example, involved in the development of clinical solutions which is in Braga. We are planning to open one linked to creativity themes in the interior of the country in Castelo Branco. We have another that we announced a few months ago, involving Microsoft Cloud Azure technologies which is underway.”
The idea is to completely cover the country, seeking synergies with universities with which the company already has some protocols.
Aware of the lack of talent in Portugal and across Europe to fill the vacancies at the tech company at different levels, Tiago Barroso says they will broaden the search for staff in other knowledge domains with the prospect or taking on graduates and masters degree holders “to which we will offer upskilling or re-skilling courses in information technology”.
