Mota-Engil wins €140M Brazil contract

The Sino-Portuguese construction giant Mota-Engil has been awarded a €140 million contract through its Brazilian subsidiary Impresa Construtora Brasil in a consortium with a local firm, Sea Brasil through Petrobas, in a construction project which is worth a total of 913 million Brazilian reais €140M).

“MOTA-ENGIL S.G.P.S., S.A. (“MOTA-ENGIL”) informs that its Brazilian subsidiary, EMPRESA CONSTRUTORA BRASIL, in consortium with a local company, Sea Brasil (90%/10%), has been awarded a construction contract by Petrobras amounting to circa of 913 million Brazilian real, equivalent to 164 million US dollars” it states in a communiqué sent to the stock market supervisor CMVM.
The contract, whose scope consists in the provision of services for the collection, processing and final destination and disposal of flexible lines of the “Submarine Warehouses” in the Bacia de Campos, is scheduled to start during this month, will have an approximate duration of 5 years and part of the billing will be in US dollars (circa of 110 million) and the remaining in Brazilian real,” it continues.
“With this award, the GROUP sees recognised its past performance towards one of the most important players in the oil & gas sector in Brazil, as well as its order book strengthened in the Latin American region with a medium and long-term contract”.
