Via Verde in €30M investment plan

Via Verde, which is controlled by Brisa, is to invest €30 million by 2025, €10-15 million of which will be invested over the next two years.

According to Jornal de Negócios, the investment will focus on “technology, marketing and staff” enabling resources to be allocated to strategic areas.
Furthermore, the group also intends to take steps to internationalise its Via Verde concept within two or three years”, say Eduardo Ramos (Director) and António Pires de Lima (CEO of Brisa). Ramos told Negócios “Europe is the natural next step” and the tolls will be the main product offer. Moreover, the company also wants to add “all associated services, such as parking, charging/fuelling and partners such as insurers and retail associated with mobility”.
Via Verde, which has been at the forefront of “non-stop” tolls since 1991 has 4.3 million transponders with 84% of motorway users using the system.
