Mário Ferreira buys 2% more of Martifer

The entrepreneur Mário Ferreira, board president of Portuguese TV and radio empire, Media Capital now holds 2.6% of construction company Martifer, corresponding to €100 million voting rights.

According to the information sent to the stock market commission, CMVM, Mário Nuno dos Santos Ferreira who owns pleasure boat company Douro Azul, notified the CMVM on Monday of its 2.06% qualified shareholding.
In the first half of 2021, Martifer profits totalled €5.8 million, an amount that compares favourably to the €1.5 million for the same period last year, according to a communiqué the firm sent to the market on 26 August.
Martifer carries out projects in the metal construction and shipping segments, such as at the Viana do Castelo shipyards as well as renewable energy projects. It has around 1,400 staff. Its CEO is Pedro Duarte (pictured).
