The Swiss-Portugal Investment, Property and Tourism fair will return to Montreaux, Switzerland in June.

The fair will be held at the Montreaux Convention Centre on 9, 10 and 11 June providing an opportunity for Portuguese companies in the real estate, tourism, investment and financial sectors to promote their businesses.
The SIIT-SUISSE is organised by the Swiss-Portugal Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services (CCISSP) and this year will occupy a total surface area of 3,000m2 including a conference hall.
Twenty-five conferences will take place over the three days focusing on five main themes and two parallel events: a business cocktail, and a networking dinner on 10 June which will be held at the Grand Hotel Suisse Majestic in the ‘Salon 4 Saisons’ which has been totally booked for the events by the organisers.
These will provide a networking opportunity for stand holders and speakers to meet with Swiss and international professionals from the financial, property, investment and tourism sectors.
SIIT-SUISSE will undoubtedly be the largest business event promoting Portugal in Switzerland of the year, particularly in view of the number of registrations from professionals and investors.
Registrations have been received from all over Switzerland, France, Portugal, Belgium, Luxembourg and Monaco. The presence of Swiss and Portuguese officials and personalities has also been confirmed.
It is interesting to note that despite being a small country with just 257,000 Portuguese emigres, according to data from the Bank of Portugal the amount of remittances transferred from the Portuguese community in recent years to bank accounts in Portugal makes Switzerland the country from which most bank transfers by the Portuguese were made out of all the countries which have significant Portuguese emigre populations.
With one of the most competitive economies in the world, the Swiss are considered the people with the greatest purchasing power. SIIT-SUISSE is therefore an excellent opportunity to develop business in Switzerland and attract investment to Portugal, thereby contributing to new jobs and bringing economic ties between the two countries even closer.
According to the President of the CCISSP, Marina Prévost-Mürier “the Swiss are investing increasingly more in Portugal, having discovered our country and its potential. Our chamber has worked hard to facilitate business ties between the two countries and has organised unique promotional events in Switzerland bringing various Swiss companies’ representatives, trade missions and entrepreneurs to Portugal. Switzerland is a market where this is still much to be done”.
The Regional Government of Madeira, Invest-Madeira, Grupo Libertas, Christie’s, Porta da Frente, Chave Nova, Abreu Advogados, Caiado Guerreiro Advogados, Cátia Neves Tavares Advogados, EDGE-IL Advogados, Isabel Meireles, Isabel Neves, Vitório Rosário Cardoso, Marisa Marto, Vítor Alves Gomes, Portugal Investors, UCI, INOVA, APR, Couceiro Immobilier, Maison au Portugal, Swiss-Trad, Swiss Independents, AMETIC, Art & Design, International school are just some of the names that have been confirmed for SIIT-SUISSE. Registration for the three-day fair is open and Switzerland has lifted many Covid-19 health restriction measures affecting restaurants, hotels and events.
