Risk of DST Efacec deal collapse

The risk that the Portuguese engineering giant DST will not go ahead with the purchase of Efacec is “slight” according to the Minister of the Economy, António Costa Silva.

The minister said that negotiations with the European Commission for the sale of the transportation and electricity networks company were “on the right track”.
However, António Costa Silva refused to say there was zero risk considering that the process is a complex one, but rather expects to be able to announce good news about the sale in the coming weeks.
