The VW Group has boosted investment in Portugal by opening an engineering hub in Lisbon under the remit of VW Group Services.

The new Innovation N Engineering Hub is set up in the city’s Bairro Alto district and houses the second centre for truck manufacturer MAN in the country. It will also double its team to 40 employees.
After opening VW Digital Solutions (VWDS) in 2018, the German car group decided to invest in a centre purely dedicated to product engineering areas with its Innovation N Engineering Hub.
Under the management of VW Group Services (VWGS) — the company which provides services such as logistics, fleet management, accounts, payroll, recruitment and communication and marketing, exclusively for VW Group companies -, the Innovation N Engineering Hub, among other projects — now integrates the new MAN Engineering Hub in Portugal.
“This MAN hub is within a VWGS centre: the Innovation N Engineering Hub in Bairro Alto where we have various services that we provide directly to VW or VWGS at the main company”, said João Sousa, managing director of VW Group Services to the news source ECO.
MAN Truck & Bus Portugal based in Alverca do Ribatejo (Lisbon) provides a huge range of products and innovative services for the heavy goods vehicle sector (HGV) including new and second-hand trucks, urban busses, inter-urban busses and long course coaches; after-sales and financial services.
