RE/MAX Collection sees €692M in sales

The RE/MAX collection, which focuses on luxury homes, saw a growth in sales of 12.5% in H1 to €692 million on the same period last year.

The premium segment estate agency enjoyed 2,395 transactions between January and June 2022 for its Collection brand of luxury properties, involving 51 overseas nationalities, with a particular emphasis on buyers from the United States and Brazil.
The Lisbon district concentrated the most number of sales, but there was significant growth in the districts of Porto and Aveiro.
The six-monthly analysis showed that apartments and detached houses (17%) were the most sought after properties in the residential segment for the group, in particular apartments (80.8%) which exceeded 70% of the turnover in commissions in this segment.
There was also a modest increase in transactions involving estates, studios, and duplexes on 2021. Regarding the turnover of transactions, there was an increase of 4% for 3-bed and 4-bed detached properties.
As to renting, according to the Residential Renting Index for Q2 of 2022, Lisbon also saw the greatest increase with the greatest quarterly increase in five years.
New residential rental contracts increased 4.9% in Lisbon in Q2 on Q2 2021, the bar result since the end of 2017.
In Porto rents saw a quarterly increase of 3.7% in Q2 according to the latest study which was confirmed by Confidencial Imobiliário, based on rents from new contracts.
Taking the whole country, new rental contracts per property in Q2 increased 3.3% in quarterly terms.
