Super Bock Group to invest €200 million to 2030

The Super Bock Group, a beverages company owned by entrepreneur Rui Lopes Ferrera, is to invest €200 million over the next five years from a €300 million 10-year investment plan, one-third of which has already been allocated.

The plan is focused on decarbonising, modernising and expanding its operations including 20% of its investments overseas.

The Portuguese group based in Leça do Balio has earmarked around €80 million to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030 while other investments include the modernisation and expansion of the group that currently sells 20% of its products overseas.

The company has household brands in Portugal such as Super Bock beer, Vitalis mineral water, Pedras sparkling water, and Frutea fruit drinks.

The Super Bock Group is 56% held by Voacer and 44% by Carlsberg. In terms of markets, the group produces a beer for the Chinese market, Portuguese-speaking African markets, France and Switzerland.

The company has not made public its financial results although CEO Rui Lopes Ferreira said that 2024 had been a good year.
