Urbanite leads real estate crowdfunding in Portugal
The Spanish real estate crowdfunding platform Urbanite has consolidated its leadership in real estate crowdfunding in Portugal exceeding its financing target by 44% in 2024.
In the first full year of operation in the country, the platform financed projects worth €28.8 million on eight projects in five cities -– Porto, Lisbon, Cascais, Gondomar and Oeiras – including the largest real estate crowdfunding project in Portugal’s history, Barão Forrester worth €5 million.
Among the projects financed, the ‘Baron Forrester‘ stands out, the largest real estate crowdfunding project in Portugal’s history, with an investment of €5 million – the maximum limit allowed by law. In total, five of the eight funded projects exceeded €4 million, reflecting the robustness of the opportunities offered by the platform.
Urbanitae’s portfolio in Portugal covers different segments of the real estate sector. Four projects are in the luxury segment (‘Quinta dos Pinheiros’, ‘Castilho 3’, ‘Quinta do Cedro’ and ‘Paulo Duque’), representing a total investment of more than €12 million. In addition, it financed two tourist accommodation projects (‘Baron Forrester’ and ‘Júlio Dinis’), with an aggregated amount of €9.8 million.
