Startup World Cup Portugal 2026 accepting applications for latest edition

Following the success of its first edition in 2025, held at Unicorn Factory Lisbon, the Startup World Cup Portugal returns to Portugal.

For this edition, Startup World Cup reaffirms its role as a platform connecting Portugal’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and the global market.

Portuguese startups with high growth potential can now submit their applications to the 2026 edition of the Startup World Cup Portugal (SWC Portugal), the national stage for one of the largest global innovation and entrepreneurship competitions.

The Portugal final will be held at Unicorn Factory Lisbon, on June 17 and 18, 2026, bringing together founders, investors, mentors and leaders of the ecosystem in an environment geared towards the presentation and evaluation of innovative solutions with global potential. The selection process is structured and competitive, involving the evaluation of 50 pre-selected startups, from which 10 finalists will be chosen, culminating in the election of the winning startup that will represent Portugal in the Grand Finale, in San Francisco (Silicon Valley). At stake will be a direct investment prize of US$1 million, as well as access to an international network of investors and strategic partners.
