Portugal Ventures has new president

Rui Ferreira has been appointed to lead the public venture capital company Portugal ventures.

The electrotechnical engineer fills the vacancy left by Rita Marques who has been serving as the Secretary of State for Tourism, and her successor Celso Guedes de Carvalho who filled the post from 2018.
The new executive board took over at the start of the year after being appointed at the general assembly of stakeholders and comprises three directors.
In addition to Rui Ferreira, who has been acting as executive vice-president, Pedro de Mello Breyner continues on as an executive board member for this term which will continue until the end of 2023. Teresa Fiúza will become Vice-President of Portugal Ventures which invested around €13 million in 70 companies in 2021.
