Novobanco ‘Bank of the Year’

The magazine The Banker has voted Novobanco the ‘Bank of the Year’ in Portugal.

The magazine, which belongs to the Financial Times, highlights the bank’s robust commercial and financial performance.
“This award recognises the incomparable dedication of Novobanco to its clients, consistently anticipating their needs by providing innovative, efficient, and transparent banking products and services,” states the bank led by Mark Bourke.
The Banker pointed out its “robust commercial and financial performance, marked by a sustained and consistent growth and profitability, prudent financial management, cost control, and strong capital generation”.
The bank says that it is committed to innovation, and that it “adopts an approach that integrates branches, online banking platforms, and mobile banking applications in a distribution model that is unique at a national level. This integrated approach allows clients move effortlessly between various channels, providing more flexibility and convenience”.
Novobanco posted results for the three quarters to September of €640 million.
Mark Bourke said: “To be awarded the ‘Bank of the Year’ by the Banker is a testament to the exceptional dedication of the whole Novobanco team and the thorough confidence of our clients. This award reaffirms our commitment in the sustainable and responsible support of families and companies throughout their lives”.
